OWLS

The OWLS are, and will continue to be, the church's backbone of service and study. They have been meeting together for 40 years and are managed by a council which meets monthly. The 2nd Tuesday of the month at 10:00 features Fellowship meetings with a speaker and refreshments. Speakers are invited to explore many topics: for example, how to care for roses, missionary discussions, women's health issues, travelogues, and many others. Last year, the OWLS annual Thanksgiving dinner served 92, and the Asotin High School girls' choir presented Christmas music.

New OWLS Fellowship officers for the year beginning mid-2008 are: Martin Castle (751-0760) Chair; Penny Bosley,     Program; Ella Mae Wilson, Secretary; Marie  Jackson, Caller; Lucille Schroeder, Devotions;  Dorothy Locken, Hospitality; Peggy Uglem,  Decorations; Bondell Phillips, Greeter. The  time for the officers' monthly meeting has  changed to 9:00 am, each first Thursday of  the month.

Pastor Forrest teaches the OWLS Bible Study, which meets for one hour, three Thursdays a month, at 10:00 am. The attendance ranges from 17 to 27 and is the longest ongoing bible study in the church.
